You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. – 1 John 4:4
Depression is a common and serious medical illness (sometimes spiritual) that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable medically. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. Depression follows a negative or unhappy experience in one’s life. This world can feel dark and cloudy at times and you may wake up one morning especially after a difficult sleep and realize that everything around you is annoying. Many are tempted to say , “I will be having a bad day today” NO !!! . What so ever you decide at that time determines how you will spend the rest of your day. Will you decide to set aside the worries and troubles of the past and embrace a bright new day that the creator has set before you? Or will you keep sinking into the world of depression and low-spirit? And in troubling times, that darkness can hover closely. Yet God is still there, He says i will be with you in your going out and in your coming in. And he reminds us that he’s greater than anything we face in this life. His power is the one who can set us free from the pit we sometimes sink down into.
I Pray for God’s miraculous power to break through the darkness so His light will shine on you today, lift you up, out of the place you may find yourself in today. Believe that nothing is impossible with him, ask him for his healing and grace to touch the deepest parts of your life, So that you may see a reason to live and be a blessing to many generations yet unborn. Severe depression has been one of the causes of suicide and suicidal attempts today. That is not your portion, you are worth more than suicide, you are valuable, you are important and loved. You are the apple of God’s eyes. You are a Royal Priesthood, a chosen generation, born to conquer, born to make it in life, YESSS !!! YOU CAN.
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me? – Jeremiah 32:27
Shalom, May you have a great day ahead.
