Gone too Soon – Adieu McBride

When I heard this message, I felt weak from fear, and my lips quivered. My bones seemed to melt, and I stumbled around. But I will patiently wait. Someday those vicious enemies will be struck by disaster. Habakuk 3:16. This is the reaction of the Prophet of Hababkuk when he heard of a bad news,

The past one week has been so disturbing for some of us, especially myself. Since this year started, this has been the most shocking news I have heard, that disturbed my peace alot. This is a young , talented and ambitious young man, full of life and dreams. He will always called me with a strange number and play a prank so I will not figure out who was that. We will laugh and make jokes. Little did I know, I was gona put up a post like this for his memories.  I remember he called  and told me he will soon be a dad. We both shouted and I advised him according to my capacity. I still have a his CV in my email, was to recommend him for a career as a flight attendant. We discussed lengthy about how he will go about that during our annual Fiesta Cruise ship Service at Dubai Marina, organized by the Holy ghost Palace Ministry. He had alot of interesting plans and projects ahead of him.

Just for me to see his Picture posted on my timeline and an RIP written on it, and I said to myself, what is life? Like a vapor it appears and the next second, it is no more. The untimely death of Mc, has taught me many lessons recently, not that this is the first case that I have seen, but it is so peculiar in that the circumstances around his death were so unpredictable. Two weeks before his passing unto Glory, He called me as usual with a different number, and this time I could get it from his voice he was the one. Telling me about his wife and Daughter and that they were doing fine.

To the best of my Knowledge, the cause of his death is not yet known, we cannot say he was prepared to die, or he knew that at this time he would be in the world beyond. I am sure so many things would have been done and achieved, according to his plans. However, God is the supreme God, He knows it all and He sees it all.

The bible makes us to understand that it is appointed unto man once to die and after this is judgement. Death is an appointment for which many do not know the date, nor time of the appoint.

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; Ecl 12:1

As  you read me, I am sure you have questions, If you happen to close your eyes now in death, where will you find your self ??? At the end of the life of Solomon, he said, ” the whole duty of man is to fear God and keep his commandments” . This is very true, because what shall it profit you, if you gain the whole world and lose your soul? What can man give in exchange for his life. Time to act is now, there is no repentance in the grave, neither there is salvation for the dead.

I hope to see my brother and friend one day, when the roll is called up yonder, when the saints of the Lord shall be gathered unto the glorious feast of the Lamb, at the feet of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To his wife and family, our sincere condolence, may the peace of God continue to overshadow them and one thing is Sure:

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments. Habakuk 3:17-19
