Day – 28- God is Extremely patient with us.

Sometimes we find our patience slipping away as we wait in traffic, late for work. Or when we’re standing in line at the restaurant, our stomachs growling. Or when our family member, neighbor, or coworker does that one annoying thing for the thousandth time.

Yet the Bible is clear: While we may have a hard time remaining patient, God is extremely patient with us! And because of His loving patience, we can strive to become more patient as well!

Psalm 103:8 – “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.”

Jeremiah 15:15 – “O LORD, you know; remember me and visit me, and take vengeance for me on my persecutors. In your forbearance take me not away; know that for your sake I bear reproach.”

Psalm 78:38 – “Yet [God], being compassionate, atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them; he restrained his anger often and did not stir up all his wrath.”

Isaiah 48:9 – “For my name’s sake I defer my anger, for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you, that I may not cut you off.”

2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”

1 Timothy 1:15-16 – “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.”

We hope you have a great day, and remember: God is so patient with us!
