The great pillars of his awesome Presence.

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: Exodus 13:21

As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and someone who has decided to follow Christ, there will be seasons of darkness and seasons of brightness. Unfortunately many have believed the lie that every day in this race will be full of merry and joy. Even our Lord Jesus Christ had days of trouble and temptations. He went through the night as well as the day process during his time on earth. Moses told God in Exodus 33:15 that if your presence does not go with us, we ain’t going anywhere. Moses understood the value and meaning of His awesome presence. A pillar of cloud by day as a sign of divine direction in the wilderness. As shade from the horrible and scorching sun of the desert. The cloud formed a shadow of protection for the Israelites. No wonder the Bible says, he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high( his presence) shall abide under the shadow of the almighty- Psalms 91:1. The sun shall not smite the by day…….because of the cloud of His awesome presence. During the nights in the desert, temperatures reduce at times to almost freezing point. Places are cold and dark. The pillar of fire does not only provide illumination to the path of the believer,it serves as a source of warmth and comfort in cold and seemingly dark moments of your life. Invoking the awesome presence of God during your dark days and in the sun scorched periods of your life is primordial for survival as a believer.

May the shade and warmth of His awesome presence over shadow you now and every day of your life.

May you find the grace of His manifold presence as you dig deep into a time of communion with the father, doing His will and leaving according to his principles and precepts.

You are blessed.
